Independently-organized but inspired by Maker Faire and MAKE magazine, East Bay Mini Maker Faire is a full-blown community fair that brings together science, art, craft, homesteading and engineering plus music, food, workshops, and performance.
Last year, our fourth year, we featured over 170 makers, 7 stages, and welcomed 7,000 people to the combined grounds of Park Day School and Studio One Art Center.
This family-friendly event showcases the amazing work of all kinds of makers across the East Bay and beyond—anyone who is embracing the DIY or DIT (do-it-together!) spirit and wants to share their accomplishments with an appreciative audience. Exhibits that are interactive or highlight the process of making things are especially desired.
The first step to participating in Maker Faire is to submit an entry that tells us about yourself and your project. Entries can be submitted from individuals as well as from groups such as hobbyist clubs and schools. You can apply as a Maker, Commercial Maker (individual makers primarily selling —$100 booth fee; startups please contact firstname.lastname@example.org), Workshop or Presentation, or Performer. (Food vendors please write email@example.com. Businesses please contact firstname.lastname@example.org.)
Please provide a short description of what you make and what you will actually bring to East Bay Mini Maker Faire. Please link to photographs or videos of what you make.
